Difference between Special and Discount
Discount and Special (read as Special Discount) are great ways to provide discounts to your buyers and increase your sales.
Discount: You can use 'discount' option only to provide discounts when someone buys more quantity of the same products. For example, the price for one piece may be Rs.200, but using the discount option, you can provide discounts for buyers buying more than certain quantities i.e., 10% discount for buying items above 5 quantities. So if a person orders 6 quantity, he will get the items at Rs.180.
Special: Special discount is a discount you provide on products irrespective of the quantity. For ex; If you provide a special discount of 10% to a product, this discount will be same for buyers buying 1 quantity or 10 quantities.
